Here is the receipe for making Praline:
Ingredients | Method |
1oz Sugar 4oz Margarine 1½ tbspn Golden Syrup 3 desert spoons Cocoa 8oz Rich Tea Biscuits 12oz Cooking Chocolate |
1) Melt the sugar, margarine, syrup and cocoa in a pan. 2) Crush the rich tea biscuits and stir into the melted mixture. 3) Press into a swiss roll tin. 4) Meanwhile, melt the chocolate over a pan of boiling water and pour over the top. 5) Leave to set in fridge for ½ hour and cut into squares. |

250g (9oz) Butter 150g(6oz) digestive biscuits, crushed 150g(6oz) caster sugar 1 large can of Sweetened Condensed Milk to decorate: 2 medium bananas, sliced |
Simon Says: 1) Melt 75g(3oz) butter, stir in the crushed biscuits. 2) Press the mixture into the base and sides of a 20cm (8") loose-bottomed fluted flat tin. Chill. 3) Place remaining butter and caster sugar in a non-stick saucepan, heat gently until butter melts. 4) Add condesnsed milk. Then stirring continuously, boil gently for 5 minutes to make a light golden caramel. Pour over the biscuit base and allow to cool 5) To serve, remove from tin and decorate with sliced banana. Serves 6-8 (dwarfs). |
